Micronesia

Though covering an extensive area of the western Pacific, Micronesia’s land mass is tiny and consist of small coral-ringed atolls. As a travel destination for divers, it’s perfect. In Truk Lagoon harbors an entire fleet of shipwrecks from WWII litter the seabed, making Truk the best shipwreck diving destination on the globe. While diving the mysterious Ghost Fleet of Truk Lagoon you can enjoy a underwater ecosystems dripping with color and drama. Some divers swear that the wrecks in Truk Lagoon are haunted.

My favorite wreck is, Fujikawa Maru. Many of the wrecks in Truk Lagoon are quite deep, but this cargo ship’s superstructure is at about 9 metres and the deck at 18 metres. The ship is packed with parts, from airplane fuselages to ammo. Plus, many interior spaces, such as the pilothouse, galley and staterooms, are easily accessible.
